Starting Up

Turning On/Off the Power

Connect the power cord.
First insert the plug of the power cord into the AC connector on the instrument,
then plug the other end of the cable into a proper AC outlet on the wall.

Lift the key cover slightly, then push it up and back to open.

Press the [ ] (Standby/On) switch to turn the power on.
The display located in the center of the front panel and the power indicator located
below the left end of the keyboard lights up.

Play the keyboard.
While playing the keyboard, adjust the volume level by using the [MASTER
VOLUME] control.

Be careful to avoid catching your fingers
when opening the cover.

• Hold the cover with both
hands when opening or
closing it. Do not release it
until it is fully opened or
closed. Be careful to avoid
catching fingers (yours or
others, especially
children's) between the
cover and the unit.
• Do not place anything (such
as metal objects or pieces
of paper) on top of the key
cover. Small objects placed
on the key cover may fall
inside the unit when the
cover is opened and may be
nearly impossible to
remove. Once inside, they
could cause electric shock,
short circuit, fire or other
serious damage to the
instrument.
