Summary: Multicast traffic is duplicated at PIM Group RXer when traffic passes thru IGMP Proxy router.
Symptom: Multicast traffic is duplicated at PIM Group RXer when traffic passes thru IGMP Proxy router.
The multicast stream must traverse through the PIM IGMP Proxy router to reach the
destination router for the bug to occur. So, if the PIM VE Group RXer port is located on the
same router as the IGMP Proxy VE, then there is no issue.
Workaround: A topology work-around is to configure IP multicast RXers, but not sources, at the edge of
a network in an IGMP VLAN/VE. That is, configure the network so all IP multicast sources
are directly connected to an IP multicast router enabled VE.
