Inserting a MultiMediaCard or Secure Digital Card

1.
Position the MultiMediaCard or Secure Digital card in the direction as shown in the
illustration below. A portion of the lower media slot was designed for insertion of
MultiMediaCard and Secure Digital cards. This portion of the media slot will use the top
of the SmartMedia slot as a guide. The Secure Digital or MultiMediaCard will slide in just
above the SmartMedia slot.
2.
Insert the card into the slot with the gold contacts facing up. Gently push the card in all
the way until the card is fixed in place.
IMPORTANT: Notice the notched corner of the MultiMediaCard or Secure Digital card and be
careful not to insert the MultiMediaCard/Secure Digital card in the wrong direction. To insert
properly, be sure that the card is positioned so that the recessed notch is located on the upper
left corner. You should see the media's gold contacts when inserting it into the slot. When
inserted properly, the gold contacts will be visible and farthest from you as you look at it from
the top. Refer to the illustration below for proper insertion.
WARNING: Insert the card gently. If it is forced in, the card reader or the actual card may be
damaged, or data on the card may be lost or corrupted. If excessive force is required, or the card
just doesn't seem to fit, do not attempt to force the card in the reader, instead contact Dazzle
Technichal Support for assistance.
NOTE: To utilize advanced features of
Secure Digital cards as well as locking
and encryption features, please refer to
the documentation provided with your
Secure Digital card or host device.
