Description
This setting allows you to specify whether the MAC
Address Control filter has been switched on or off.
Select 'Enable' to switch on MAC address control
filtering. You must also create at least one entry in
the MAC Filtering table for you to be able to enable
this setting. When enabled, only those MAC
addresses listed in the filtering table can connect to
the router.
Select 'Disable' to switch off MAC address control
filtering. Entries may remain in the MAC Filtering
table, but will not be applied, and any device can
connect to the router.
This value is the index for the MAC Filtering table
entry.
This field is used to manually enter the MAC Address
of the devices that are allowed to connect to the
router. You can configure up to 32 different device
MAC Addresses.
The MAC address is a 12-character hexadecimal
code (character 0-9, A-F), and may be found on a
sticker on the body of the device you wish to
connect to the router. If the device is already
connected to the router, you can select the MAC
address from the 'DHCP Client List' dropdown.
This dropdown allows you to select the MAC address
of a device that is already connected to the router
and add it to the MAC Filtering table by using the
Copy To button (after selecting an index number
from the dropdown).
If you are unsure which MAC address relates to
which device, the Status page will display
connected device by device name and MAC address.
