IPv4 and IPv6 Static Routes

An administrator can select Appliance Settings - Network - IPv4 Static Routes or IPv6 Static Routes
to configure static routes.
To add static routes:
1.
Select Appliance Settings - Network - IPv4 Static Routes or IPv6 Static Routes. Any existing
static routes are listed with their Destination IP/Mask, Gateway, Interface and Metric values
shown.
2.
Click Add. The Add Static Route form is displayed.

Enter the required parameters. When finished, click Save.
To edit Static Routes:
1.
Select Appliance Settings - Network - IPv4 Static Routes or IPv6 Static Routes. Any existing
static routes are displayed with their Destination IP/Mask, Gateway, Interface and Metric
values shown.
2.
Click a route name under Destination IP/Mask. The Static Routes edit screen appears.
3.
Enter the Gateway IP address or the Interface name.
4.
Enter the new Metric value.
5.
Click Save, then click Close.

DNS

An administrator can select Appliance Settings - Network - DNS to configure primary and
secondary domain name system (DNS) servers.
Chapter 4: Configuring Network Settings and SNMP
Description
• Select Default if you choose to configure the default route.
• For Route via, select Gateway or Interface from the pull-down menu.
• For Gateway IP or Interface, enter the IP address of the gateway or the
name of the interface.
• For Metric, enter the number of hops to the destination.
• Select Host IP or Network to enter custom settings for Destination IP/
Mask.
• For Route via, select Gateway or Interface from the pull-down menu.
• For Gateway IP or Interface, enter the IP address of the gateway or the
name of the interface.
• Enter the required Destination IP/Mask with the syntax <destination IP>/
<subnet mask>/<CIDR>.
• For Metric, enter the number of hops to the destination.
