Environment Page

The Environment page on the DMS (FIG. 35) allows you to view the current inside and outside
temperatures as well as the heat and cool set points. If the keypad is in an HVAC zone the inside
temperature reported is the temperature reported by the HVAC zone. If an outdoor temperature
sensor is configured in the system that temperature will also be reported. Selecting either the COOL
or HEAT set point buttons will switch to the respective page (Cool/Heat Set Point Page) for
adjusting those set point values.

Keypad Interface - Cool/Heat Set Point Pages

The Cool and Heat Set Point pages (FIG. 36) allow you to control the set point value. The UP and
DOWN arrow buttons are used to adjust the temperature set point value. The top line of the display
shows which set point is being adjusted. This screen may seem confusing at first because the set
point value displayed is the value reported by the HVAC zone. The inside temperature displayed is
the value sensed by the keypad, not the value from the HVAC zone. If an outside temperature sensor
is installed in an HVAC zone, that temperature is also reported. Pressing any of the menu selection
buttons on the keypad switches you back to the Environment page.
It should be noted that changes to the set point take effect immediately. It is a common
misconception to believe that a selection button must be pressed to "set" or "save" the new set point.
This is not true. As the values are adjusted they are automatically stored.
