Check lights and fault messages

Problem
The Clean out
airways light
comes on.
The Clean out
airways light is
still on after the
fluff filter has
been checked
and/or cleaned.
The programme
stops and the
Clean out
airways
indicator light is
flashing.
26
Possible cause
This indicator light comes on to warn you that the dryer is not
working efficiently.
The fluff filter may be
blocked.
The vent ducting or the
ventilation outlet is
blocked.
Ventilation to the dryer
is insufficient (e.g.
because it is installed in
a small room).
The vent ducting is very
long.
See above for possible causes and their remedies.
No obvious cause.
Remedy
Remove any fluff (see "Cleaning and
care").
– Check all parts of the extraction
system on a regular basis (e.g.
wall vent, external grille, bends in
the ducting etc.) and make sure
they are all free of any hindrance.
– Remove any fluff.
Open a door or window while the
machine is in operation for
increased air flow.
– The indicator light will go out
when you open the door, if the
dryer is switched on.
– The Clean out airways indicator
light can be deactivated (see
"Programmable functions").
– See "Installation - venting"
regarding calculating length and
diameter. See also "How to dry
correctly".
– If very long ducting is used then
programme times will be longer
and energy consumption higher.
– Switch the dryer off and then on
again.
– Then start the programme again.
If the programme stops again and
the indicator light flashes again
there is a fault. Contact the Miele
Service Department.
