Media cage

To remove the component:
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all bays
are populated with either a component or a blank.
Power down the server (on page 26).
1.
Extend the server from the rack (on page 26).
2.
Remove the access panel.
3.
Remove the fan assembly
4.
Disconnect cables from any devices installed in the media cage, if necessary
5.
on page 47).
Remove the BBWC battery (on page 32), if necessary.
6.
Remove the media cage.
7.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
