Dispenser
Lock (on some models)
The dispenser can be turned off for easy cleaning or to avoid
unintentional dispensing by small children and pets.
NOTE: The lock feature does not shut off power to the product, to
the ice maker, or to the dispenser light. It simply deactivates the
ice and water dispensers. To turn off the ice maker, see "Ice
Maker and Storage Bin."
To Lock and Unlock the Dispenser:
1. Press the LOCK button. The ice and water dispensers will not
work.
2. Press the UNLOCK button. Then, continue to dispense ice or
water as usual.
LOCK OUT
Remove the cap by sliding it off the end of the used filter. The
cap will slide to the left or right.
IMPORTANT: Do not discard the cap. It is part of your
refrigerator. Keep the cap to use with the replacement filter.
3.
Take the new water filter out of its packaging and remove and
discard the cover from the O-rings.
UNLOCK
LOCK
The water filter status display will help you know when to change
the water filter. The display is located at the top of the refrigerator
compartment.
A new water filter should display a reading of 99%. The reading in
the display will decrease as the filter life is used. When the display
reads 10%, it is time to order a replacement water filter. It is
recommended
that you replace the disposable water filter when
the filter display changes to 0% OR when water flow to your water
dispenser or ice maker decreases noticeably. See "Changing the
Water Filter" later in this section.
WATER FILTER
PERCENT LEFT
After changing the water filter, press and hold RESET for
2 seconds until the status display changes to 99%.
