Preparation 3 Insert a Memory Card
Removing Memory Cards
Before opening tile battery-chamber/memory card slot
cover, turn the camera offand confirm that the power-
on lamp and the monitor are off.
Press the memory card in lightly with your finger (_) to
partially eject it, and then pull it out straight
((2}).
_1_ High Temperature Caution
The camera, battery, and memory card may be hot immediately after using the camera. Observe
caution when removing the battery or memory card.
Internal Memory and Memory Cards
C}amera data, including images and movies, carl be saved in either tile camera's
internal memory (approximately 94 MB) or on a memory card. To use the camera's
internal memory for shooting or playback, first remove the memory card.
Approved Memory Cards
Tile following Secure Digital (SD) memory cards have been tested and approved
for use in this camera.
• When recording a movie onto a memory card, a memory card with an SD speed
class of C}lass 6 or higher is recommended. If the transfer speed of the card is
slow, the movie recording may end unexpectedly.
