TO START ENGINE
1.
Attachspark plugwire and rubberbootto sparkplug.
2.
The bag/chuteswitch buttonmustbe fully depressedbythe tip
of front tab on bag handleor blowerchute for engineto start. See
Figure11.
3.
Makesurebag/chuteswitchwire is connectedto engineand
groundedto mountingbracket.See Figure11.
4.
Gas tank shouldbe filled3/4 to full beforestarting.

Movethrottlecontrolto START/RUN (Rabbit) ,_
position.See

6.
Movethechokecontrol I'_'1 towardthe throttlecontrolto choke
the engine'scarburetor.(A warmengine maynot requirechoking.)

7.
Standingbehindthe unit, graspstarterhandleand pull ropeout
until youfeel a drag.
8.
Pullthe rope with a rapid,continuous, f ull arm stroke.Keepa firm
grip on the starterhandle.Letthe roperewindslowly.
9.
Repeat,if necessary,untilengine starts.Whenengine starts,
move chokecontrolgraduallyawayfromthe throttlecontrol.
10. if enginefalters,movechoke controlback towardthe throttle
controland repeatsteps7 through9.
11. ALWAYS keepthe throttlecontrolin the START/RUN
positionwhenoperatingthe YardVacuum.
TO STOP ENGINE
1.
Movethrottlecontrolleverto slow(turtle)_
position.
Wheneverpossible,graduallyreduceengine speedbefore
stoppingengine.
2.
Movethrottlecontrol leverto STOP
or OFF position.
3.
Disconnectsparkplug wireand groundit to preventaccidental
startingwhilethe equipmentis unattended.
