Replaceenginebaffleand securewith self tapping
screws.
Replaceblade,blade adapter,and associated
hardware.Followinstructionsin BladeCaresection

plasticfrom undergascap (if applicable).

lowerhandlesand carefullyfoldthe upperhandle
downtowardthe lowerhandleas shownin Figure
5-6.

Removethetwo screwssecuringbatterycoverto
batteryhousingand placethem to the side.See
Figure5-6.
Open batterycover,removepositiveand negative
leadsfrom battery,removeand replacewith new
battery.See Figure5-7.Connectthe positiveleadto
the positivesideof the batterypack,then connect
the negativeside.
NOTE:Thebatteryyou havemay differ slightlyfrom the
one shownin Figure5-7.Referto the Parts List.

IMPORTANT:When replacingbattery pack in handle
panel, battery pack must be positioned with the
positive terminal to the left side and the negative
terminal to the right side of panel (Positive terminal
is closest to the key switch), Figure 5-7.Replacing
battery pack incorrectly will cause serious damage.
4. Reattachbatterycoverto batteryhousingby secur-
ing with the two screwsremovedearlier,makingsure
to snapthe wireconduiton the left into placeon the
housing.
5. Foldhandlesbackup and tightenhandleknobs.

for any reason other than replacement.
