ALT. CH (Alternate Channel) Button
Press to return to the "IV channelyou were viewingimmediately
before switchingto your current channel.
CHANNEL A/Y Buttons
Pressto scan through the'rV/VCR's channels,
VOLUME A/_' Buttons
Press to adjustthe sound level. If you presstheVOLUME JJY
buttons when the sound is muted,the soundwill be restored.
MUTE Button
Press to eliminatethe TV/VCR's sound Press againto return to
the previousvolume level.
F.FWD/I_ Button
When tape playback is stopped,pressto fast forward the tape at
highspeed. During tape playback, p ressto fastforward the tape
while the picture stayson-screen.Detailsare on page 46.
Pressto changethe settingof an item in the on-screenmenuor
pressto proceed to the next menu.Press to adjustthe picture
controls.Detailsare onpages24 - 25.
STOPIY Button
Pressto stop the tape. Press to selectan item in the on-screen
menu.
PAUSE/STILL Button
During recording,pressto temporarily stop the recording. Press
againto resume recording. Detailsare on page 29. You cannot
pausea One-Touch Recording.
During tape playback, p ressto freeze the picture (still).Eachtime
you pressthe PAUSE/STILLbutton,the noiselineswill change
position on-screen.Detailsare on page 46.
MEMORY Button
Pressto memorize a tape positionat which the real-time counter
was set to 0:00:00.Detailsare on page44. Or, pressto memorize
the start and end positionon a tape when settingupA-B Repeat

CLEAR Button
Pressto eraseincorrect data when programming'l'V/VCl_ func-
tions. Also,pressto reset the real-time counter to 0:00:00. Details

TRACKING &IV Buttons
