Trim Tab

TRIM TAB TRIM TAB BOLT
The trim tab compensates for
''torque steer'', which is a reaction of
the outboard motor to propeller
rotation.
If uncompensated, torque steer would
make the outboard motor tend to turn
to one side.
When the trim tab is correctly
adjusted (p. 73 ), steering effort is
equal in either direction.
