Connecting
a cable converter box and a VCR
With this connection
you can:
• watch videotapes
• watch and record basic and premium
cable channels
• record one channel while watching
the same or another
channel
Tune the VCR to channel
Stereo VCR

channel is vacant
in your area), place the TV in

You will need:
• one cable signal splitter

• one pair of audio cables (one single
audio cable for a mono VCR)

Note:
If you have a mono VCR, connect TVL/Mono Audio IN
to VCRAudio OUT using only one audio cable.
When you use a converter box with your TIg, y ou
may not be able to use the remote control to program
certain features (for example, blocking channels).

You will need:

• two pairs of audio cables (one single and one
pair of audio cables for a mono VCR)

Note:
To watch satellite programs, the TVmust select
VIDEO- 1 (see page 16).
To watch VCRprograms, the TVmust select
VIDEO-2 (see page 16).
