VCR1 or Using the VCR2-DVD Button The VCR2°DVD button on the VCR's remote is preset to control an RCA, ProScan or GE VCR and an RCA or ProScan laserdisc player. To control a DVD component, it must be programmed with the DVD code listed.
Controlling a TV The VCR's remote is preprogrammed to control tile basic functions of a compatible RCA, ProScan, or GE TV. Also, you can set up the remote to control other manufacturer's brands. To program the remote, enter the remote code numbers that correspond to your brand.

Box or Satellite Receiver The SAT.CABLE button on the VCR's remote is preprogrammed to control a compatible RCA cable box or satellite receiver. If your cable box or satellite receiver is another manufacturer's brand and has its own remote, you will probably be able to program the VCR's remote to control the it.

Your VCR has two index playback features. To locate the program you want to play, select a specific index number or search by scanning.
Using the Playback Features Pause for Stop Action This feature stops the tape in action and lets you examine the details of the scene. Stop action works best for tapes recorded in the SP or SLP speed• 1. Press PAUSE during playback to stop the action.
Recordings Your VCR provides different rcc(_rding _)ptions. I hesc options are explained in this section of the manual. Recording Speeds Press SPEED on the remote to select a recording speed (SP or SLP). The speed you select appears on the TV screen. Tapes recorded in LP can be played in this VCR.
