    AUTO CLOCK SET FEATURE The Auto Clock feature is set to ON at the factory. In the ON setting, the VCR looks for a channel carrying XDS (Extended Data Services) information and updates the clock using the Coordinated Universal Time. There are certain steps that are required, such as Auto Channel Search, Time Zone, and Daylight Savings, before the Auto Clock feature works.

    PICTURE SEARCH OPTIONS The most basic way to search during playback is using the FWD or REV buttons. This section contains several other options available for searching a tape. FORWARD REVERSE SEARCH You can search a tape during playback. Sound is turned off during picture search.

    FRAME ADVANCE Frame advance lets you view one-stop action frame after another during playback. Frame advance works best for tapes recorded at the SP or SLP speed. Press PAUSE on the remote (PLAYoPAUSE on the VCR) to "freeze" the action. Press F.ADV each time you want to view a frame of the scene.

    ZERO SEARCH The zero search feature enables the VCR to quickly return to a counter reading of 0:00:00 anywhere on the tape. This is ZERO SEARCH especially convenient when you want to repeat a segment of the CURRENT TAPE COUNTER 2:17:25 tape several times.

    TRACKI Your VCR has automatic tracking which removes the streaks or snow from the picture. Automatic tracking is activated when you insert a tape or turn on the VCR. Occasionally you may need to manually adjust tracking, especially if the tape was recorded on a different VCR.
