Away
(Timer
Recording)
Tile timer program
and VCR Plus+ features
let you program
the VCR to record up to eight
different
programs
within
a one year period.
Before setting
the timer, make sure that:
• The clock is set correctly.
• A tape with its safety tab in place has been inserted
with enough
tape to record the
programs.
• The remote is set to control the VCR -- using VCR1 (or VCR2°DVD).
Setting
a Timer
Recording
1.
Press MENU on the remote to display
the VCR MAIN MENU.
2.
Press 2 to display
the TIMER REGORDINGS
menu.
B.
Press 1 to display
the CREATE A NEW PROGRAM
menu.
4.
Press 1,2, 8, or 4 to select type of program.
1 ONE TIME -- single program
recorded
once.
2 DAILY -- program
recorded
at same time every day.
3 WEEKDAYS -- program
recorded
at same
time Monday
through
Friday.
4 WEEKLY -- program
recorded
at same time
once a week.
5.
Press number
buttons
on the remote to enter the channel
number
(or INPUT on the remote to select line input), start
time including
AM or PM, end time, and start date of the
recording.
Follow the on-screen
prompts.
Press CLEAR on the remote to correct an entry.
6.
Press SPEED,
or I(SP), 2(SLP) on the remote to select the
recording
speed.
7.
Press MENU to enter your program.
A reminder
appears
which times or you can press MENU
until TIMER RECORDINGS
menu appears.
If you have entered
two programs
whose times overlap,
PROG RAMS OVERLAP appears
on the screen.
8.
Repeat steps 3--7 for additional
programs
or press
MENU twice to remove the menu from the TV screen.
9.
Turn off the VCR before the recording
time.
The TIM E R indicator
appears
in the VCR display panel.
If using a cable box or satellite
receiver, leave it turned on
and tuned to the channel you want to record.

Stopping
a Timer
Recording
in Progress
You can stop a recording
by pressing
and holding
the STOP button
on the remote or STOP°EJECT
on the VCR for approximately
three
seconds.
