The remote might be in the wrong mode.To be in DVDmode, pressDVDon the remote before you
pressany other buttons. If you're operating the IV, pressthe IV button first.
Maybe batteries in remote are weak, dead or installed incorrectly. Put new batteries in the remote.
(Note, if you remove the batteries, you may have to reprogram the remote to operate other
components.)
Problems with V-Chip/Parental Controls
The rating limits don't work
You must lock the settings. Go to the TVMAIN MENU (pressMENUon your remote), select Parental
Controls (press6 on your remote), select Lock Parental Controls (press6 on your remote).

and I want
to unlock
the TV

If you forget your password, simultaneously
press and hold VOL - on the front panel and VOL - on
the remote for 3 seconds. Nothing appears on the screen, Parental Controls simply unlock and you
can re-enter a password via Lock Parental Controls.
The V-Chip
won't
let me watch
a program
even though
it's not rated
as violent.
Maybe the movie was given an NB (Not Bated) status. After you block movie ratings, you must set
NR to Viewseparately
in order to view movies with an NR rating.
Care and Cleaning
CAUTION: Turn OFF your W/DVD before cleaning.
You can clean the IV/DVD as required, using a soft lint-free
cloth. Be sure to occasionally
dust the
ventilation
slots in the cabinet to help assure adequate ventilation.
The lV/DVD's
screen may be cleaned with a soft, lint-free
cloth as well. Take care not to scratch or
mar the screen. If necessary, you may use a cloth dampened
with warm water. Never use strong
cleaning
agents, such as ammonia-based
cleaners, or abrasive powder. These types of cleaners will
damage the IV/DVD.
While cleaning do not spray liquid directly on the screen, or allow liquid to run down the screen and
inside the IV/DVD. Also, avoid pIaeing drinks or vases with water on top of the IV/DVD. This could
increase the risk of fire or shock hazard or damage to the IV/DVD.
Caution:
Using video games or any external accessory with fixed images for extended periods of time
can cause them to be permanently
imprinted
on the picture tube (or projection
1V picture tubes). ALSO,
some network/program
Iogos, phone numbers, etc. may cause similar damage. This damage is not
covered by your warranty.

Don't move the IV/DVD while a disc is being played. The disc may get scratched or broken, and the
IV/DVD's internal
parts may be damaged.

Be careful not to put your hand into the disc tray.

other than the disc in the disc tray.

Exterior influences
such as lightning
and static electricity
can affect
normal operation
of this player.
If this occurs, turn the IV/DVD off and on again with the ON*OFF button,
or disconnect
and then
reconnect the AC power cord to the AC power outlet. The IV/DVD will operate normally.

Be sure to remove the disc and turn off the IV/DVD after use.
