VARIOUSOPERATIONS
To repeat playback (repeat play)
REPEAT
D
Each time the REPEAT button on the remote control unit is pressed,
the repeat mode changes
circularly.
(one track repeat --* ALL
repeat --_ OFF)
To repeatedly play the displayed track, press REPEAT on the remote
control unit so that the REPEAT •
1 indicator lights. REPEAT can
be pressed in any playback mode (normal, random, or program).
To repeatedly play all tracks on all of the discs in normal playback
mode or in the specified
playback mode (Single playback, Custom
playback or Program playback), press REPEAT so that the REPEAT
indicator and each repeat mode indicator (ALL, SINGLE, CUSTOM,
or PGM)light.

All selected tracks repeat
To exit repeat mode, press REPEAT so that the REPEAT •
1 or
REPEAT indicator goes off.
To cancel the repeat playback mode, press
during repeat
playback.
Random
playback
- To play all tracks
in
random order
RANDOM

RANDOM
The RANDOM
indicator lights and random playback starts in the
specified
playback mode.
ALL
One track on each disc is played in a random order.
When a total of 100 tracks are played back, playback
automatically stops. If less than 100 discs are inserted
in the player, random playback continues
until 100
tracks are played back.
SINGLE
All tracks on one disc are played in a random order.
When all tracks are finished playing, playback stops.
CUSTOM
One track on each selected disc is played in a random
order.
When a total of 100 tracks are played back,
playback automatically
stops.
If there are less than
100 discs in the selected custom,
random playback
continues until 100 tracks are played back.
To exit the random playback mode:
Select a disc other than the disc being played by pressing one of
the digit buttons on the remote control unit or DISC -/+.
If other mode is selected
in random playback mode, random
playback will start with the selected mode.
If the Rack is opened
in random playback mode, discs in the opened rack may be played
again.

When the PGM button is pressed in random playback mode,
random playback
is cancelled
and the player enters
program
mode.
NOTE:
During random playback,
the CUSTOM mode cannot be selected
with the MODE button.
If RANDOM is pressed in the random playback mode, another
track is selected in random order.
If RANDOM
is pressed while programming,
the programmed
contents are cleared, and random playback starts in ALL mode.
If the player is not fully loaded with discs in ALL mode or CU STO M
mode, the same track may be selected and played twice.
ADLC (Automatic Digital Level Controller)
ADLC
When the difference of recording level between discs is noticeable,
the volume level should be adjusted for each disc, especially during
program playback or random playback when tracks are selected
between 2 discs or more. In such cases, pressing ADLC automatically
sets the output level to the proper level. When ADLC is turned on,
the ADLC indicator lights.
To turn off ADLC, press ADLC so that the ADLC indicator goes off.
With some selections, sound becomes unnatural.
In such cases,
turn off ADLC.
I Time display
During
playback, pressing
TIME on the front panel changes the
time display in the following sequence: (_ DISC/TRACK (disc number
and track number being played) --_ ® TIME (elapsed playback time
of the track being played) --_ @ TOTAL (Displays the total playback
time of each disc)
In the stop mode, A_shows the disc number stored in the Last disc
memory, ®does
not show the elapsed playback time of the track
being played, and © does not show the total playback time of each
disc.
The TOTAL time display
in the program mode shows the total
programmed
steps.
The TOTAL time display in the CUSTOM mode shows the disc
number stored in CUSTOM (only in stop mode). While the display
appears, stored disc numbers into CUSTOM can be confirmed
by pressing DISC -/+.
The TOTAL time display © during playback will disappear in
about 5 seconds.
