BASICOPERATION
Changing discs during playback
1
This unit lets you change up to 75 discs without interrupting playback,
but please be aware of the following
points.
Do not press the Rack EJECT (A) button in the following situations.
1. When one of the discs in that Rack is playing back.
2. If less than ten seconds has elapsed since the end of disc search
or playback.
You can determine
which
Racks cannot be opened from the
following two displays.
1. PLAY INDICATOR

While the PLAY INDICATOR is blinking: One of the Racks cannot
be opened even when its EJECT (A) button is pressed.
The blinking sequence of the PLAY INDICATOR indicates the Rack
number which cannot be opened.
Example: When Rack 2 cannot be opened

2. Display window
When the front panel is opened, the Rack number which cannot
be opened is displayed on the front display window.Example:
When Rack 2 cannot be opened " RACK 2 " is displayed.
If no Rack number is displayed (simply" RACK" is displayed), any
Rack can be opened.

Press the MODE button on the front panel or remote
control
unit in stop mode to select the desired mode.
Playback starts
in the selected mode.
ALL
All of the discs loaded in the Racks of this unit will
be played.
SINGLE
Only one disc will be played back.
CUSTOM !

Only the discs registered
in CUSTOM I, l] or ]H
will be played.
For example, assuming that classical music discs
are registered
in CUSTOM
I , rock discs
in
CUSTOM 1] and jazz discs in CUSTOM 1[[, when
CUSTOM I is set, only the classical music discs
will be played in order of the disc numbers.

Each time the button is pressed, the playing mode changes circularly.

SINGLE
Whenthe
SINGLE mode is selected during playback, the SINGLE
mode playback is carried out on the disc being played.
NOTES:
CUSTOM mode cannot be selected during playback.
When the power is turned on, the unit enters the last selected
mode.
If less than 100 discs are loaded
In the playback mode, this unit does not recognize a disc when the
disc is not inserted into the Rack or the disc is placed with the label
surface facing the wrong way. In this case, the display (below) will
appear for about 3 seconds in the front panel. Once this information
is stored in memory,the
next disc will be played back in the ALL mode,
but no disc will be played back in the SINGLE mode.
