Cooktop may emit light smoke and odor the first few fimes the cooktop ts used This
is normal
When a control _sturned on, a redglow can be seenthrough the glass-ceramic surface
The element will cycle on and off to maintain the preset heat setting
Glass-ceram[c cooktops retain heat fora penodoft_meafter theundlsturned off When
the HOT SURFACE hghtturns off (see below), the cooking area will be cool enough to
touch
Because of the heat retention characteristics, the elementswill not respond to changes
in settings as quickly as coil elements
