5 Frame the first portion of the
panorama scene and take the first
picture.
• 1/3 of the image will be dispEayed as
translucent.

• Match the outEine of the next picture so that
1/3 of the frame overEaps the previous picture,
and press the shutter-rdease button.
• Repeat until you have taken the necessary
number of pictures to complete the image.

_1_ Notes on Panorama Assist
• 9ettheflashmode, selfltimer, focusmodeandexposurecompensationbeforereleasingthe
shutter for the first picture. The settings cannot be changed after shooting the first picture. Pictures
cannot be deleted, nor can zoom, Image quality (_83), or Image size (_84) be adjusted after
shooting the first picture,
• The panorama series is terminated if the auto off function (_199) triggers the standby mode
during shooting. To prevent this, setting a longer time for the auto off fu notion is recommended.

When using panorama assist mode, all pictures in the panorama
have the same exposure, white balance, and focus as the first pictu re
of the panorama,
When the first picture is shot, _=_ is displayed to indicate that
exposure, white balance, and focus are locked,

Xansfer pictures to a computer (_174) and use Panorama Maker 5 (_177) to join them in a single
panorama.
install Panorama Maker 5 on a computer using the supplied ViewNX 2 CD ROM
