CHOKE
LEVER
Activatingthe chokecontrolclosesthe chokeplateon carburetorand
aids in startingengine.
PRIMER
Pressingprimerforcesfuel directlyintoengine'scarburetor
to aid in cold-weatherstarting.
IGNITION
KEY
The ignitionkey is a safetydevice.It mustbe fully
insertedin order for theengineto start. Removethe
ignitionkeywhenthe snow throweris not in use.
NOTE:Donot turnthe ignitionkey in an attemptto start
theengine.Doingso maycause it to break.
RECOIL
STARTER
The starterhandleis usedto start the engine.
GASOLINE
CAP
Removethe gascap to add fuel.
AUGER
Whenengaged,the augersrotationdrawssnow intothe augerhousing
and throwsit out the dischargechute.Rubberpaddleson the augers
also aid in propellingthe snowthroweras they comein contactwith
the pavement.
AUGER
CONTROL
Locatedon the upper handle,the augercontrolhandle is usedto
engageand disengagedriveto the auger.Squeezethecontrol handle
againstthe upper handleto engagethe auger; releaseit to disengage.
