it is examined to make sure it is not infected.

For groupware email clients, Norton AntiVirus
Corporate Edition includes additional protection for
email attachments (Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange
clients).
View a list of the viruses that have infected your
computer with additional relevant information about
the infection.
Keep track of the scans that have occurred on your
computer over time. Scans are displayed with
additional relevant information about the scans.
View a log of virus protection-related activities on your
computer, including configuration changes, errors, and
virus definitions file information.
Some users supplement a scheduled scan with an
automatic scan whenever they start their computers.
Often, a Startup Scan is restricted to critical, high-risk
folders, such as the Windows folder and folders that
store Word and Excel templates.
