Press A or v to select a recording tape speed. The
arrow will appear beside your choice.The selected speed will
flash beside REC SPEED.Tape speed details are on page 77.

Press C-RESET/CLEAR to store the timer recording.
ressTIMER SET. The System will turn off and the red
MER REC light will appear on the front of the System. Or,
e System may switch to DVD mode instead. You may use
the DVD Player during a timer recording.You may need to
pressVCR/TV on the remote to choose'IV position so you
can see the DVD picture at theTV.
If you want to use theVCR until time for the recording, don't
pressTIMER SET until a few minutes before the recording
should start. Or, pressTIMER SET only when you know you
won't be usingtheVCR anymore (until after the recording).
When theTIMER REC light is on or blinking,you cannot put
the System in VCR mode by pressingVCR or SOURCE.You
must first pressTIMER SET to cancel the timer recording
temporarily.Then, you can use the VCR features again.

CancellingTimer Recordings
PressVCR, then press DISC/MENU,

Press A or v' to select TIMER PROGRAMMING, then
press I_.
Press A or v to find the program you want to cancel.
While the program number is flashing, press _1 to
clear all the information for that program.

• If a timer recording is set and the
TIMER REC light is on, pressing
STOP/EJECTI1___will turn on the
System and/or cancel the timer
recording.The TIMER REC light
will turn off. Press STOP/EJECT
i _, again to remove the tape.To
use the VCR or watch TV through
the System again, press VCR,then
VCR/TV to put the VCR in VCR
position again.
• If there is no tape in theVCR
when you press TIMER SET,the
TIMER REC light will flash.Insert
a tape.
