Basic operations
NOTES
• Once a disc tray whose status is known by the unit becomes accessible when the carousel opens, the corresponding
indicator
lights even if the disc is not set.
• When the RESUME function is "ON" or "DISC RESUME"
and the resume point is memorized,
pressing I_ starts playback from
that point instead of the beginning. See page 23.
• During playback, the display window shows the title/chapter,
group/track,
or track number being played.
• During DVD VIDEO playback, pressing I_ moves back the playback position 10 seconds before the current position. See page 21
for details.
• When a DVD disc is set in the front-left tray, the unit usually starts playback automatically
after closing the carousel and reading
the disc contents.

carousel
opens

interrupting
playback.
"EXCHANGE"
is briefly
shown
in the display
window.
2 Set, remove or change discs in the accessibledisc trays.
3 To accessto the other trays, press DISCSKIP.
Each press
of the button
rotates
the carousel,
however,
the disc tray corresponding
to the disc
being
played
back is
never
accessible.
4 Press EXCHANGEor _AOPEN/CLOSE.
The carousel
closes.
NOTES
• During the steps 2 and 3 above, only the •,
II, I_1_1/1_1_1 and _141/1_1_ buttons are effective for the disc being played back.
• The EXCHANGE button does not work during program playback.
