    Getting started Connections *Before using the unit, you have to connect the unit to a TV and/or amplifier. Before making any connections • Do not connect the AC power cord until all other connections have been made. • Connect VIDEO OUT of the unit directly to the video input of your TV.     The initial setup before using the unit We recommend you to set the display language, TV monitor type, analog audio output and digital output before using the unit, depending on circumstances, by following the procedure below. When turning on the unit for the first time, the DVD PLAYER SET UP display automatically appears. In such a case, perform the following procedure from step 2.

About screen saver function • A television monitor screen may be burned out if a static picture is displayed for a long time. To prevent this, the unit automatically activates the screen saver function if a static picture, such as an on-screen display or menu, is displayed for over 5 minutes.

For example, if a movie which includes violent scenes supports the parental lock feature, such scenes which you do not want to let children view can be cut or replaced with other scenes.
