9. FRONT
PANEL
Directing
Airflow
Adjustable
louvers are located at the top front
of
the unit
to direct
discharge
airflow.
Adjust
them
accordingly
to direct
the air in the appropriate
pattern
for your
room
requirements.
Cleaning
Air
Filter
On some models...
EVERY TWO WEEKS: Clean the filteg
1.
Turn Master
Control
to OFF.
2.
Remove
the decorative
front,
insert
a thin
blade
screwdriver
into the notch
on the
upper
right
side of the cabinet.
Apply
pres-
sure inward
and disengage
the retaining
clip.
Repeat
this procedure
on the upper
]eft side
of the cabinet.
Lift the decorative
front
up
and away
from the cabinet.
3.
Remove
air filter
from tabs.
4.
Carefully
wash
air filter
with
a mild
detergent
and warm
water.
Rinse with
clear water,
squeeze
dry and replace.
5.
Replace
front panel.
Place the bottom
edge
into
the clips provided
on the base pan and
pivot
the top of the front
against
the chassis,
engaging
the spring
clips on the ]eft and right
side of the front.
6.
Return
Master
Control
to desired
operation.
On other models...
EVERY TWO WEEKS: Clean the filteg

Turn Master
Control
to OFF.

Remove
the air filter
by grasping
the top cor-
ners and pulling
it up and out of the unit.
3.
Wash
in hot soapy water,
rinse and shake dry.
4.
Replace
the filter,
with
the front
of the filter
toward
you.
5.
To dry the filter
thoroughly,
run your
unit for
a few
minutes.
Remember,
on]y
a clean
filter
works
properly
and delivers
top efficiency
at
every
setting.

Note: Failure to keep air filter dean will result in poor
air circulation. DO NOT operate without filter. This
can render
the unit inoperative.
Proper use and care of your air conditioner
will help
ensure longer life of the unit. It is recommended
to
annually inspect and dean the coils and condensate
water passages. Expense of annual inspection is the
consumers' responsibility.
