Pictures in _r_ (Scene Recoqnition) Mode
This section describes how to take pictures in ,_ (scene recognition) mode.
The camera automatically analyzes the composition and adjusts settings ap-
propriately.
1 Turn the camera on,
Press the ON/OFFbutton to turn the camera on.
8R shooting indicators will be displayed.

This icon indicates that the camera continuously searchesfor faces to select tile
appropriate scene,increasing the drain on the battery.
_@TheScene Icon
The camera selects the scene according to shooting conditions and the type of
subject: 0 PORTRAIT (portraits), 0 LANDSCAPE (landscapes), _ NIGHT (poorly-lit land-
scapes),@ MACRO (close ups), _ NIGHT PORTRAIT (poorly-lit portraits), @ BACKLIT PORTRAIT
(backlit portraits), @ AUTO ( all other scenes)
