push switch down.

up.
Handle release pedal

to lower handle to
operating posi-
tion. Handle does
not ]ock into a
single position but
"floats"
to allow
convenient
opera-
tion.

To move your
cleaner from room
tO room, put handle
in upright
and
locked position,
tilt cleaner back on
wheels and push
forward.
Carrying handle
The cleaner may
also be lifted by
placing a hand
above the upper
clean solution tank

Your SteamVac"
cleaner has three agi-
tator brush settings.
SP1LL P1CK-UP -
brushes
OFF for pick-
ing up spills or clean-
ing carpets and hard
floors when brushing
is not desired.
GENTLE SCRUB - for
delicate carpets
and throw rugs
POWER SCRUB - brushes
at maximum speed
for cleaning
carpets.
Slide setting
selector to
the desired setting
before cleaning.
ON [ OFF - Turns brushs on or off. Pretty
self explanatory.
Rinsesetting switch
Use this switch to se-
lect a wash with rinse
setting
or a rinse only
setting.
WASH-AutoRinse"
[optional) - This
setting cleans your
carpet with detergent
and water on the
forward stroke. On the
reverse stroke, a water-only
rinse is applied
to the carpet.
WASH- This setting
applies water and deter-
gent for cleaning.
RINSE - This setting
applies water-only
rinse
in both the forward and reverse strokes.
See "How to clean" section for more
details.
Note: "Auto-rinse"
and rinse are not avail-
able during tool use. The hose will only
dispense
water mixed with detergent.
Wash/Rinse switch
For machines that do not have Auto Rinse"
This switch allows you to easily change from
clcaningyour
carpet or floor with a deter-
gent/water
mix to rinsing with water only.
