ADJUST(NG
BLADE
DEPTH
See Figure 14.
A(ways keep correct Made depth setting. The correct
blade depth setting for a(! cuts shou(d not exceed 1/4 in.
(6.35 mm) below the materia( being cut. More blade depth
will increase the chance of kickback and cause the cut
to be rough. For more depth of cut accuracy, a sca(e is
(ocated on the upper Made guard.
Follow these directions to adjust the blade depth.
[] Remove battery pack from saw.
WARMNG:
Failure to remove battery pack from
the too( cou(d resu(t in accidenta( starting causing
sedous injury.
[] Loosen depth adjustment knob.
[] Determine the desired depth of cut.
[] Locate depth of cut scale on back of upper Made
guard.
[] Ho(d base flat against the workpiece and raise or (ower
saw unti! the indicator mark on bracket a((gns w(th
notch on blade guard.
[] Tighten depth adjustment knob securely.

WARMNG:
Do not stare into the (aser beam or
turn the (aser on when the too( is not (n use. Failure
to do so could result in possible serious persona(
injury. The (aser unit comes from the factory al-
ready installed and a)igned. (f the (aser becomes
m(saligned after time refer to the "adjustments"
section.
NOTE: Make a tria( cut on a piece of scrap to ensure (aser
is a(igned, adjusting the (aser may be necessary.
[] Mark the ((ne to be cut on the workpiece.
[] Adjust the depth and ang(e of the cut as needed.
[] Switch on the laser beam.
[] (nstall battery pack into the too( and start the motor.
NOTE: Do not touch the blade to the workpiece until
the saw has reached maximum speed.
[] S(ow(y push the saw forward into the workp(ece.
NOTE: Keep the laser beam on the marked (lne on the
workpiece for precision cutting.
[] Once the cut is comp(ete, allow the saw to come to a
comp(ete stop before turning off the (aser.
[] Remove battery pack from saw.
