• Tip spreader so it rests on front edge of hopper.
•
Insert lower end of control rod through hole in setting cam
assembly, (Figure 1)
• Rotate control rod as necessary and carefully push feed slide
down to insert control rod end through hole in feed slide. (Figure ,_
• Attach upper control arm using the 1/2" screw and Iocknut.
Tighten the screw and Iocknut and then back off the Iocknut
1/4 turn.

INSTALL AGITATOR WIRE
• Loosenhex screwlocatedat end of the impeller
shaft insidethe hopperand insertagitatorwire
throughholein shaft.
• Centerthe agitatorwire in the shaft and make
sure that the ends of the wire are an equal
distanceabovethe hopperbottom.Thentighten
the screw, usingcareto avoiddisturbing the
agitatorwire position.
NOTE:TIGHTENALLATTACHING NUTS SECURELY,
WITHOUT CAUSINGDISTORTION OR BINDINGOF PARTS,

HOWTO USEYOUR SPREADER
1. Set cam dial on #1 positionandpushcontrolarmto
the "OFF" position..
2. Move tractoronto flat surfaceand attach spreader.
3. Before filling spreader,refer to the recommended
spreadersettingchart on pages4-5. if you cannot
locate the material you have, use the following
guidelines:

APPLICATION TIPS
Recommended towing speed: 3 MPH (Reduce flow

NOTE: Always move flow controlarm to the "OFF"
position while filling spreaderand when STOPPINGor
TURNING,to preventexcessfertilizerbeing released.
First applymaterialacrossboth endsof the area- two
or threepassesare sufficienton eachend.Then, apply
material backand forth as shown:
