Using a tripod makes the composition
easier. When using a tripod to stabilize the
camera, set Vibration
reduction (_76)
to Off in the setup menu.

selector
and

button.
• The D icon is displayed to show the
direction in which pictures are joined.

multi
selector
to choose
the direction
and press
the

button.
• Select the direction
in which pictures arejoined
in the
completed
panorama: right (D), left ((]), up (.A,) or
down (_-_).
• The yellow icon (DD) moves to the direction pressed,
so press the _) button to choose the direction. A white
icon (D) is displayed in the chosen direction.
• Apply flash mode (_61),
self-timer (_64)/remote
control (_'_105), focus mode
(_67)
and exposure compensation
(_71)
settings with this step if necessary.
• Press the _) button again to reselect the direction.

Frame

portion

panorama
scene

take
the first
picture.
• The camera focuses on the subject at the
center of the frame.
• 1/3 of the image will be displayed as
translucent.
