Using the Flash (Flash Modes)
In dark locations or when the subject is backlit, you car] take pictures with the flash by raising
the flash.
When using I_1 (auto) mode and other shooting modes, you can set the flash mode.
1 Press the _ (flash pop-up) button,
• The flash pops up.
• The flash does not fire while it is lowered. (_ is displayed to indicate that the flash does not
fire.

Press the multi selector • (_ flash mode). A

Press • or • to select the desired mode and
then press the I_) button.
• Available Flash Modes , _ SS
• Ifa setting is not applied by pressing the _) button within
a few seconds, the selection is canceled.

few seconds, regardless of Monitor settings (_ 96,
