Using Skin Softening
When tile shutter is released in one of the following shooting modes, tile camera detects one
or more person's faces (up to three), and processes the image to soften facial skin tones.
• Portrait or Night portrait in I_ (easy auto) mode (_ 36)
• Portrait (_]] 38) or Night portrait (_]] 39) in scene mode
• Smart portrait mode (_ 49)
Skin softening can also be applied to saved images (_ 76, _13).
_1_ Notes About Skin Softening
• It may take more time than usual to save images after shooting,
• Under some shooting conditions, the desired skin softening results may not be achieved, or skin
softening may be applied to areas of the image where there are no faces.
