Installing the Mower Deck
WARNING
Engage the parking brake, disengage PTO, stop
engine, and remove key before attempting to install
the mower deck.

Park the tractor, shut off PTO and engine, remove the
key, and apply parking brake. Turn the wheels fully to
the left.
Place the attachment lift in the down position (See
Features and Controls). Slide mower deck under
right side of tractor so that mower hitch is aligned
with the front tractor hitch brackets.
Turn the wheels straight ahead. Pull back on the
spring-loaded lever and install the mower hitch on the
tractor hitch brackets (see 1-2, Figure 22).
NOTE: When properly installed, the spring-loaded
lever should seat fully underneath the brackets.

Connect the inner J-bolt (F, Figure 20) to the inner lift
bracket and secure with washer and cotter pin. Repeat
for the other side.
Install the lift chain (E, Figure 19) onto hook in tractor
frame and secure with cotter pin (D). Repeat for the other
side.
6. Pull the idler pulley lever (A, Figure 18) to release belt
tension. Install belt (B) on the PTO pulley (C).
7. Place the attachment lift in the up position.
8. Connect the cutting height wire harness plug to the
tractor harness.
