  • Page 8 ASSEMBLY IMPORTANT: This unit is shipped without gasoline or oil in the engine. Be certain to service engine with gasoline and oil as instructed in the Operation section of this manual before operating your machine. NOTE: Reference to right, left, rear and front of the lawn mower is in relation to the operating position.
  • Page 9 ASSEMBLY Grass Catcher Follow steps below to assemble the grass catcher (if needed). Make certain bag is turned right side out before assembling (warning label will be on the outside). Place bag over frame so that its black plastic side is at the bottom.

Grasp the starter handle as shown and pull slowly until resistance is felt, then pull rapidly to start engine and avoid kickback. Return it slowly to the rope guide.

  • Page 16 SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE Check engine Oil Check oil level before each operation. Be sure oil level is maintained. Check the oil with the engine stopped and level. Remove the oil fill dipstick and wipe it clean. Insert and tighten dipstick. Remove it to check the oil level. If the oil level is near or below the lower limit mark on the dipstick, Oil Fill/ Dipstick remove the oil filler cap/dipstick, and fill with the recommended oil...

Use the deck wash to rinse grass clippings from the deck’s underside and prevent the buildup of corrosive chemicals.
