DESCRIPTION Your UNIDEN AX 55 represents the most advanced 5-watt hand-held type radio ever designed for use in the Citizens Band Radio Service. It will operate on any three of the 40 frequencies designated as citizens band channels by the Federal Communications Commission.

NOTE: The crystals installed in channel 1/1" position are also of plug-in type and may be replaced with those of any other channels. Make sure the transmit and receive crystals are installed in their correct socket. If the crystals are reversed, the unit will transmit on one frequency and recieve on another, both of which will be outside the citizens band, resulting in illegal operation.
