a Picture Style*
By selecting a Picture Style, you can obtain image effects matching
your photographic
expression or the subject.
In Basic Zone modes, you cannot select the Picture Style.
Select
[Picture
Style].
_ Under the its:] tab, select [Picture
Style], then press <__>.
_y,, T he Picture Style selection screen will
appear.
Select
a Picture
Style.
_ Select a Picture Style, then press
<_>.
_o The Picture Style will be set and the
menu reappears.

Style
Effects
Standard
The image looks vivid, sharp, and crisp. This is a generaFpurpose
Picture Style suitable for most scenes.
Portrait
For nice skin tones. The image looks softer. Effective for close-
ups of people. This Picture Style is also selected automatically
when the Mode Dial is set to < _t_>.
By changing the [Color tone] (p.92), you can adjust the skin tone.
Landscape
For vivid blues and greens, and very sharp and crisp images.
Effective for impressive
landscapes. This Picture Style is also
selected automatically when the Mode Dial is set to < ,_,>.
