Care and cleaning of the range.
Be sure the controls are turned to OFFand the surface units are cool before attempting to remove them.

When properly seated, the locking
tab should lock onto the cooktop rim
through the notch f17 the drip pan.
Surface Units
To clean the surfi_(-e units, turn the
control to the highest setting t0r a
minute. The coils will bm'n off'any soil.
Toremovea surface unit:
To remove the drip pans for cleaning,
the stli'tilce tlnits I/ltlst be removed fi_t.

Toreplace a surface unit

the drip pan and pull it out.
Do not lift the surface unit more than 1". If you
do, it may not /le flet on the drip pan when you
plug it back in.
NOTE: Repeated
lifting el the stmfhce trait
more than
1" above the drip pan can
pemmnenfly
damage
the receptacle.
Locking tab

Push the sm'ti_ce trait in and down
to lock the tab in place so it rests
evenly in the cooktop.
Donotimmerse thesurface unitsin liquidsof
anykincL
Be notcleanthesurface unitsin a dishwasher
Donotbendthesurfaceunitplug terminals.
Be notattempttoclean, a djustor in anyway
repairtheplug-inreceptacle.
Drip Pans
Remove the smth(e traits. Then lift out
the drip pans.
For best results, clean the drip pans by
hand. Place them in a covered container
or a plastic sealable storage bag, with
cup ammonia m loosen the soil. Soak for
at least 1 hem: Rinse with clean wamr and
wipe with a clean soft doth.
The
drip
pans
may also be cleaned
in
a dishwasher:
Clean the area trader the drip pans
often. Built-up
soil, especially
grease,
may catch fire.
Donot cover the drippans with foil. Using foil so
close to the receptacle could causeshock, fire or
damage to the range.
NOTE: If yourcooktop /sequipped with shiny,
silver-colored drippans,donot cleanthemin the
serf-cleaning o ven. P ermanent damage to the
finishcanoccur
ff yourcooktop is equipped with bleckor gray
porcelein-coated drippans,theycanbe cleaned
in theovenduringtheserf-cleaning c ycle. B efore
youbegina serf-cleaning c ycle,remove anyheavy
softfromthedrippansaMp/ace themon the
porcelein-coated ovenshelves. D onotpiecethe
drippans&ect/y on theovenbottom. A fter the
serf-cleaning cycleis completed andthedrippans
arecool,wipethemwith a dampclothto remove
anyremaining a# or residue.
