Care and cleaning of the range, gecom
Be sure all controls are off and all surfaces are cool before cleaning any part of the range.
If your range is removed for
cleaning, servicing
or any reason, be sure the
anti-tip
device is
re-engaged properly
when the range is
replaced.
Failure to take this
precaution
could result in
tipping
of the range and cause
injury.
How to Remove Protective Shipping Film and Packaging Tape
Carefully grasp a corner of the protective
shiI_ping film with your finge_ and slowly
peel it from the appliance surfime. Do
not use any shaq) items to remove the
fihn. Rem_x'e all of the fihn betore using
the appliance %r the fi_t time.
To assure no damage is done to the
finish of the product, the satest way to
remove the adhesive fl'om packaging
tape on new appliances is an application
of a household liquid dishwashing
detergent. Apply with a soft cloth and
allow to soak.
NOTE:The adhesive mustbe removed fromaft
parts.It cannot b e removed if it /s bakedon.
Control Knobs
Thecontrol knobsmay be removed for easier
cleaning.
Make sure the knobs are in the
OFF
positions and pull them straight oft the
stems fi)r cleaning.
The knobs can be cleaned in a
dishwasher or they may also be washed
with soap and water. Make sure the inside
of the knobs are d_w betore replacing.
Replace the knobs, in the OFFposition to
ellstlre proper placelnent.
Control Panel
If desired,the touchpads may be deactivated
before cleaning.

Clean up splattet_ with a damp cloth.

Reactivate the touchpads after cleaning.
Porcelain Enamel Cool(top
The porcelain enamel finish is sturdy but
breakable if misused. This finish is add-
resistant. Howe\'e_; any addic foods
spilled (such as ti'uitjuices, tomato or
vinegar) should not be l)emfitmd to
remain on tile finish.
If acidsspillon thecooktopwhileit is hot,usea
drypapertowel orcloth to wipeit up @t away
Whenthesurfacehascooled,washwith soap
and water Rinse well.
For other spills such as tilt spatte_ings,
wash with soap and water or cleansing
l)ow(le_ alier tile smti_ce has cooled.
Rinse well. Polish with a dry cloth.

Do not clean the bake element or the broil
elemen_ Any soil will burn off when the
elementsare heated
