Careand cleaning of the range.
The gasketis designedwith a gapat the

Do not rub or cleanthe door gasket--
it has an extremelylow resistanceto
abrasion.
If you notice the gasketbecomingworn,
frayedor damagedin any wayor ff it
has becomedisplacedon the door,
you shouldhave it replaced.
Cleaning the Oven Door
Toclean the inside of the door:
Because the area inside the g_lsket is
cleaned during the self:cleaning c}cle,
_ou do not need to clean this b_ hand.
iJi)The area outside file g'asket and fl_e door
liner can be cleaned wifll a soap-filled
plastic pad, hot water and detergent. Rinse
well with a vineg_ar and water solution.
Toclean the outside of the door:
iJi) U se soap and water to d_oroughly clean tile
top, sides and fl'ont of tile o\en door Rinse
_ll. kbu may also rise a glass cleaner to
clean the g_tss on tile outside of tile door
Do not let _ater (hip into the xent
openings.
!_i: If am' stain on the door xent trim is
persistent, use a soft abrasive cleaner and a
st)onge-scrubber, .... fi)r best results.
iJi:: S pillage of marinades, trait juices, tomato
sauces and basting materials cont_fining
acids may cause discoloration and shoukl be
wiped u1] immediawly. When surfitce is
cool, clean and rinse.
iJi:: D o not use o,,en cleaners, cleaning
powders or hal_h abrasives on the outside
of the door.

[] Pull the hinge locks down towaM tile

A tool, such as a small flat-Nade
scre_dliver, may be required.

Oven Shelves
If v_mr oven is equipped with shiny,
silvei:colored oven shelves, they should
be removed ti'om the oven before
beginning the sel6cleaning cycle. Clean
with an abrasive cleanser or plastic
scrubbing pad. _MteI" cleaning, rinse the
shelves with clean water and dry with a
clean cloth.
If Your oven is equipped with gray
porcelain-coated oven shelves, they
nlav be cleaned in the oven dtu_ing
the sel6cleaning cycle.
NOTE" Theshiny, s ilver-colored o venshelves (on
somemodels) m aybe cleaned in theserf-cleaning
oven.However, theshelves will darken in color,
losethek lusterandbecome hardto slideif
cleaned duringtheself-cleaning c ycle.
To make the shelves slide more easily,
apply a small amount of vegetable oil
to a paper towel and wipe the edges
of the oven shelves with the paper towel.
Do not spray with Pare '_or other
lubricant spra):s.
