The infrared transceiv-
er operates on a "Line
of Sight".
Make sure nothing is
blocking the "Line of
Sight" between your
system's
transceiver
and the destination's
transceiver.

Configuring the Infrared Transceiver
To configure the computer's settings for Fast Infrared (FIR) communication
follow these steps:
1.
Click Start, point to Settings (or just click Start and click Control Panel)
and click Control Panel.

Double-click Wireless Link (in the Printers and Other Hardware
Category) icon.
3.
Click Hardware (tab), and then click Properties (button).
4.
Select Advanced (tab).
5.
Select "Infrared Transceiver A" and change the Value to "HP HDSL-
2300/3600".
6.
Click OK > OK.
The infrared transceiver may be enabled/disabled in the BIOS (see
trol: (Advanced Menu)" on page 5 -
