Replacing the battery
This section provides instructions on how to replace the battery.
Your computer has a special type of memory that maintains the date, time, and
settings for built-in features, such as parallel-port assignments (configuration). A
battery keeps this information active when you turn off the computer.
6. Remove the failing diskette drive or card reader by sliding it out the front of
the drive bay assembly.
7. Remove the retaining bracket from the failing diskette drive or card reader
and install it on the new diskette drive or card reader.
8. Install the new diskette drive or card reader into the drive bay from the front
until it snaps into position.
9. Reconnect the signal and power cables to the rear of the new diskette drive or
card reader.
