You can choose one of three different Navisphere management suites:
Navisphere Workgroup; Navisphere Departmental, and Navisphere
Enterprise. Each suite provides the following software:
Access Logix
Navisphere Manager
Navisphere Host Agents and host-based command line
interpreter (CLI) for any operating system
Navisphere Analyzer, provided with Navisphere Enterprise and
an optional product you can purchase for Navisphere Workgroup
and Navisphere Departmental.
The maximum number of servers that you can connect to a server
varies with the management suite as follows:
Management Suite Maximum Number of Servers Connected to a Storage System
Workgroup 2
Departmental 7
Enterprise Maximum number defined for the specific storage-system type
Access Logix lets you restrict server access to LUNs through the use
of Storage Groups. A server can access only the LUNs in the Storage
Group that you connect to the server. When you create a Storage
Group, you select the LUNs it contains. If multiple servers are
connected to a storage system, you should connect them to different
Storage Groups, unless they are part of a cluster.
