5. Press the buttons on the sides of the computer and pivot the computer cover upward to open.

Accessing system board components and drives

To access system board components and the drives:
1. Open the computer cover. See "Opening the cover" on page 99.
2. On some models, you might need to pivot the drive bay assembly upward and remove the hard disk
drive to access the internal components.
3. Make sure you note the location of any cables that you disconnect from the drives or the system board.
