Working with Virtual
Machines
A virtual machine is a simulated computer environment running a guest operating
system and associated application software. Virtual technology allows a "host" server
to run multiple virtual machines concurrently and isolate each virtual machine in a
self‐contained environment.
Lab Manager enables you to create virtual machines from machine templates and to
create configurations composed of multiple virtual machines. For details on templates
and configurations, see Chapter 4 and Chapter
