NOTE
To be fully compliant with all applicable Intel
board should be populated with DIMMs that support the Serial Presence Detect (SPD) data
structure. If your memory modules do not support SPD, you will see a notification to this effect on
the screen at power up. The BIOS will attempt to configure the memory controller for normal
operation.
NOTE
All memory components and DIMMs used with the desktop board must comply with the PC
SDRAM specifications. These include the PC SDRAM Specification (memory component specific),
the PC Unbuffered DIMM Specification. To view or download these specifications, refer to this

Desktop Board D845GVAD2 supports system memory as defined below:
Two 184-pin DIMMs
2.5 V, 266 MHz or 200 MHz DDR SDRAM interface
Memory configurations up to 2 GB using 512 Mbit technology
Serial Presence Detect (SPD)
Suspend to RAM (STR)
Non-ECC RAM (registered memory is not supported)
Unbuffered and non registered single or double-sided DIMMs
NOTE
Desktop Board D845GVAD2 has been designed to support DIMMs based on 512 Mbit technology
up to 2 GB, but this technology has not been validated on this board. For more information about
the latest list of tested memory, refer to the Intel World Wide Web site at:
