Chapter 3
If your HP NetServer is running Windows NT 4.0, or Microsoft BackOffice
Small Business Server:
To install Replica on an HP NetServer running Windows NT 4.0 or Small
Business Server, you must first install the T4 device driver.
To add the T4 device driver and install Replica:
1. Log in to the HP NetServer as Administrator.
2. Open the Tape Devices icon in the Control Panel group.
The system starts scanning for any connected tape drives. If it locates an
HP SureStore T4 tape drive, a message appears identifying it as an HP
T4000s SCSI device.
3. Click the OK button to start installation of the device driver.
You need to install the driver from the NOS installation CD-ROM.
4. Insert the Windows NT 4.0 or Small Business Server installation CD, and
click OK.
NOTE
If the CD Autorun feature is enabled, a window displaying the
CD-ROM's welcome screen appears. Close this screen by
clicking the close box at the top right corner of the window.
When the driver is successfully loaded, the Tape Devices panel displays a
"driver loaded" message.
5. Close the Control Panel.
6. Insert the Stac Replica Backup HP SureStore Tape Edition CD-ROM in
the HP NetServer's CD-ROM drive.

completing the installation.
